Rachel Blomberg, PhD
Rachel received her PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied fibroblast activation and extracellular matrix dynamics in obesity-driven breast cancer. In the Magin lab, she contributes to engineering microsphere-based models of lung parenchyma to study chronic fibrosis and using hydrogel-embedded tissue slices to study lung cancer. Outside of work, she enjoys making terrible puns, reading fantasy novels, and acting as furniture for her rather spoiled cat.
