Dema is a 3rd-year pre-med undergraduate student pursuing a B.S. in Biology at the University of Colorado Denver. Her research focuses on idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, including the generation of 3D lung models using magnetically labeled fibroblasts to mimic lung tissue geometry.

She is preparing for medical school while balancing volunteering, clinical experience, and shadowing. In her free time, Dema enjoys blogging, running, and spending time with her family
