Alicia Tanneberger, MS

Alicia is a PhD student in the Bioengineering Department here on the CU Anschutz campus. Her overall research goals include: 1) engineering three-dimensional biomaterial models to evaluate how lung cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells interact with their microenvironment and 2) developing a diseased co-culture distal lung model that can be used for therapeutic drug screening. On campus, she is involved in BMES, SFB, and Student Senate. Meanwhile, outside of lab Alicia enjoys skiing, hiking, traveling, or doing anything on the water!
