The Bio-Inspired Pulmonary Engineering Lab is Hiring!

We’re recruiting a highly motivated, collaborative Bioengineering PhD Student for Fall 2023 to work on an NIH-funded project to use hybrid-hydrogels and 3D lung models to study pulmonary fibrosis in vitro.

Our Research

We engineer biomaterial-based cell culture platforms that mimic lung tissue

Study lung disease and regeneration using patient-derived cells

Bridge the gap between basic research and clinical studies

Our Team

We’re an interdisciplinary group of postdocs, graduate students, undergraduate students, and professional researchers with backgrounds in materials engineering, biomedical engineering, organic chemistry, and cell and molecular biology.
