The Bio-Inspired Pulmonary Engineering Lab is Hiring!
We’re recruiting a highly motivated, collaborative Bioengineering PhD Student for Fall 2023 to work on an NIH-funded project to use hybrid-hydrogels and 3D lung models to study pulmonary fibrosis in vitro.
Our Research

We engineer biomaterial-based cell culture platforms that mimic lung tissue
Study lung disease and regeneration using patient-derived cells
Bridge the gap between basic research and clinical studies
Our Campus

The University of Colorado, Denver | Anschutz Department of Bioengineering is the first of its kind in Colorado
- Dual-campus program, shared between CU Denver and the CU Anschutz Medical Campus
- Instructional resources in bioengineering and research opportunities in health sciences
- Opportunities to interact with clinicians and engineers
- Perform research or device design in world-class hospitals and clinical research labs
Our Team

We’re an interdisciplinary group of postdocs, graduate students, undergraduate students, and professional researchers with backgrounds in materials engineering, biomedical engineering, organic chemistry, and cell and molecular biology.
