The American Thoracic Society (ATS) International Conference is the home of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep professionals, from those in the earliest stages of their careers to those whose research or strides in clinical care has gained them international recognition. This year we took a trip to Dallas, TX to present our work in May 2019. My abstract was selected to be RAPiD Abstract Poster Discussion Session as a part of the Engineered and Remodeled Matrix Compartments co-chaired by the amazing Dr. Chelsea Magin, Dr. Darcy Wagner, and Dr. Daniel Weiss. The opportunity to share and discuss our research with researchers from all over the world including Yale, University of Vermont, and even Brazil was wonderful. We even met a few potential collaborators! We are actively preparing our work for publication. As an MD fellow, I also had the opportunity to teach difficult airway management at the ATS Bootcamp for incoming pulmonary and critical care fellows across the world. We returned from the heat and humidity of Texas full of energy and enthusiasm to see us through the end of the academic year.
